Leslie D. Shelton Jr.; Bassist/vocals, a San Francisco native, attended Laney College in Oakland CA. Les left colledge to tour alongside luminaries like the late Temptations lead vocalist Eddy Kendrick, James Cotton Band, Shanana, Hammersmith (Canadian international Rock band) then in late 70’s early 80’s he joined Lady Bo, (Bo Diddley’s guitarist) for a tour of the west coast. He toured Switzerland for the World Financial Forum in Davos in 1992. Les Shelton relocated to Seattle Washington with his own band, “Rises” touring Canada and the upper USA before settling in Bremerton WA. Here locally, Les teaches at Kitsap Music and is a highly sought after bassist, often called out to perform with the areas top bands, such as Bill Brown and the Kingbees, Freddy Pink and the High Tops. He also plays with his own band, 'The Tones'.

     Steve Minzel; Keyboardist/Vocals; came to Seattle Washington in the early 80’s through the aqueintence of Rise’s drummer Bruce Stevens. Steve shared the stage with some of Seattles finest such as: The Joe Erickson Band, RPM, and many others. In the late 80’s he finished his first solo album at Bob Langs Studios in North Seattle. Steve joined forces with Les Shelton and has enjoyed much success in the Northwest with the 'Tones' as he continues to explore his writting talents.

     Tony B. Handy (aka; 'The Foot'), Percussionist; direct descendant of the legendary W. C. Handy of Blues Awards World fame, known as, "the Father of the Blues". Tony went on to form his own 'HD Fusion' group, a local, original, Pop-Jazz 5 piece band. For 22 years Tony has put his heart and soul into bringing his own twist to the music scene. Les Shelton sought Tony out in the 80's to establish the Northwest's #1 tightest bass and drum duo who put the turbo in bands like Bill Brown & the Kingbees, Freddy Pink & the High Tops and many more.
